Renew and rejuvenate with your retreat host and Wild Adventure founder Liz, with 20 years in wellness coaching, fitness, and travel. A certified outdoor guide, helicopter pilot, and advocate for neuro-physiology connections that access the body and brain. Additional therapists, fit experts, and motivational speakers are invited as a bonus to create diversity in your thinking. You will have your trained outdoor guides on hand for diving, kite surfing, snorkel, and kayak so all levels are welcome to this oasis. What Do Retreat Days Look Like?
DAY 1: TUESDAY - ARRIVE IN BELIZE CITY, TRANSFER TO GLOVERS CAYE
Welcome to Belize, arrive at the Belize City International airport where one of our guides will meet you for transport to your hotel for the night. Enjoy a welcome celebration and ceremony and prepare for morning departure to our private island. The short drive and then private boat ride gives you time to soak in the beauty, and meet your adventure peers. Once you’re settled into your room or meet your roommate (double occupancy) you will be welcomed, grab your welcome packet and join us for a healthy drink, cocktail, or jet lag boost of your choice. Your hosts will provide your itinerary for the week with goal setting and mingling. As the evening winds down, we will join in an intimate group dinner. End the night at your leisure or join our skilled host in a restore yoga session and guided meditation and cleansing ceremony to open the week and to close the evening.
DAY 2: WEDNESDAY - RISE & SHINE YOGA, SURF & PADDLE CRYSTAL WATERS AFTER YOUR SCENIC BOAT RIDE
Your days start at 7 a.m. with daily yoga classes led by expert wellness coaches and yogis. Belizian breakfast and coffee kick off your day, as you depart for a scenic boat ride to adventure island. On arrival, settle in, and decide on your small group activity for the day. Choose private access to snorkel spots and other atoll reefs by kayak or paddleboard. Into kite surfing or jumping on the waves? Don't worry our expert guides are waiting to give you lessons on the beach.
Take the afternoon to catch up on rest, enjoy a group lunch, and join in the HIIT cardio class to take you to the next level. Each day you will be wrapped up in adventure and rustic luxury. Take time for yourself to journal, set your week's goals and boundaries to break. Take in the workbook steps for transformational thinking.
.Our structured fitness retreat will have you burning serious calories each day doing a variety of classes suited for your level. We focus on giving alternatives to work at your level. Don’t worry if you haven’t exercised for a while, or you are fit and ready for more, we will modify your program to fit your ability both in fitness and your outdoor adventures. Our support team is here for all access.
Get back out there in the water for another afternoon activity before the afternoon takes us to our evening and healthy group dinner with goal-setting discussions. Rest, socialize, or head to bed to prep for the rest of the week.
DAY 3: THURSDAY - BODY- MIND FITNESS AND KITESURF WORKSHOP IMMERSED IN CULTURAL LANDSCAPES
Join in a daily morning yoga session or take time for yourself to start your day. Daily coffee, tea is open, and breakfast will power you up. Today we kick off kayaking rescue testing and set out for your choice of a kitesurf workshop or a group expedition paddle.
After lunch, you will power up with a core cardio class and get in tune with our physical/mental connections. We combine Pilates, HIIT, core power abs, and body weight focus to feel your whole body.
We review our goal-setting workbooks and group discussion, before having the afternoon to play on the beach, or ocean with all an all-access pass to ocean gear. Feel free to grab your own private spot for meditation in the sand, hammock, or floating amid tropical marine life.
Enjoy your peers during social time, an optional afternoon outing, and on to our healthy inspired group dinner. After dinner, grab your journal and focus on your goal-setting topics. Not ready for bed yet? Join in our wind-down Vinyasa flow before you retire to bed. Optional guided meditation offered.
DAY 4: FRIDAY - INSPIRATIONAL YOGA AND INTER-ISLAND OCEAN KAYAK TOUR COMBINED WITH FULL BODY WORKOUTS
After morning yoga and breakfast, we jump back into the adventure. After all, it's adventure island. A morning diving course is offered and you can take your first or tenth dive. If you'd rather coast along the turquoise waters in a kayak, our group sets off to explore Middle Caye. A 5-mile paddle takes us to the Marine Research Center with working marine biologists. We take time to explore, snorkel, fish (fishing license provided), and take in some beach time. We paddle back just in time for lunch and a leisurely afternoon.
Take the afternoon to explore, relax, or take an optional outing but make sure not to miss our daily fitness coaching with our core power class to focus on your strength.
After our traditional Belizian dinner, we end the evening with a short guided meditation ceremony to prep you for transformation. We hold our final space for group-guided meditation and soul sessions, and the rest of the evening is up to your heart’s desire. Don’t forget to pack for tomorrow’s departure.
DAY 5: SATURDAY - VINYASA, SOUL SESSIONS, & TAKEAWAYS
Your private yoga session and morning wake-up awaits you once again, with a power-packed breakfast. Your morning Vinyasa class with prep you for your day, wind down the week, and get you set for travel.
We review our goal-setting checklist and boundary-breaking progress and finish with a closing ceremony to mark our adventure travels and hard work on fitness and wellness connections. This will include our local cultural connection with shaman work, and diving into our ancestral connections with a traditional shamanic ritual for growth, goals, and focus.
You have a bit of time to fit in one last windsurf, kitesurf, snorkel, or paddle before we prepare for the final island night celebration and local cultural rituals.
DAY 6: SATURDAY - ANCIENT RUINS, RIVERBOAT WILDLIFE, AND LOCAL TRADITIONS
Our group boat transport awaits to return us to Belize City, where we will take a local tour to the Lamania Maya Ruins via riverboat looking for howler monkeys and crocodiles. We view the ruins, wander the ancient sites, and delve into our spirit animal that's been with us all week, and set our goals. We enjoy a late lunch, and final gathering for our closing celebration, local entertainment, and socializing before departure. After you will be dropped at a local hotel, for your own extended stay (not included) or transported to the airport for your flight. We meet for a final group dinner and closing celebration with local entertainment and socializing.
You will have time to reflect and note the journey you've taken and the tools you have ready for your daily life. If you’ve arranged for an extended stay or other options, please let us know, your transfers will be on your own at that time.
